WHAT NOT TO TAKE
Think seriously about what you are likely to wear and what you probably won’t, dress for the destination you are going to, don’t pack bulky towels and don’t take large unnecessary items such as hairdryers (which will most likely be available in your hotel).
If you are hiring a makeup artist, it’s likely you won’t need to pack your entire makeup bag just a few touch up items.
Make sure your liquids are securely packed, add tape to the top of bottles and keep in a sealed plastic bag, you don’t want them leaking all over your wedding clothes.
What to Consider Before Traveling for a Destination Wedding
With all the wedding stress, you don’t want any unexpected problems during travel or after you arrive. Check out the tips below to help you enjoy a relaxing destination wedding trip.
Check with your cell phone provider before you leave to make sure you will still be able to use your phone in another country without any surprise charges.
Leave copies of all your important documents at home with someone who is not traveling with you or just take photos of them and upload them to the cloud (Google Drive or iCloud, for example).
Plan your destination wedding with a local wedding planner who is familiar with the area and its available vendors.
Ask for help before you start to feel overwhelmed. Remember, your friends and family are there to support you.
